A new institute at Cornell University will focus on enrichment studies for animals used in the laboratory

Cornell University has established an Institute for Animal Welfare to foster discussion and research on issues concerning animals in agriculture, laboratories, and the wild. The institute, based in the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine, will provide grants to support enrichment studies and other animal-welfare research by Cornell-affiliated researchers.
