ILAR Journal Looks at Endocrine Disruptor Research and Testing

Volume 45(4) of the ILAR Journal addresses “Animal Models and Experimental Design Considerations for Endocrine Disruptor Research and Testing.” It discusses the use of diverse animal models in endocrine disruptor research and testing--including invertebrates and small fish, as well as birds, knockout mice, and rodents. It also looks at in vitro models for endocrine disruptor screening. In addition, this issue highlights the many environmental factors that can confound endocrine disruptor research, such as single or group housing, cage type, ventilation, environmental enrichment, and diet.
