Rodent Welfare Report Available
The report of the 2004 RSPCA/UFAW Rodent Welfare Group meeting now is available in the UK journal "Animal Technology and Welfare," August 2005, pp 79-89.
Topics include: the potential to use ultrasonic vocalisations as a means of assessing welfare in rats, effects of cage-cleaning frequency and bedding type in rats, temperature control during mouse transport, welfare benchmarking for mice, control of lab animal allergy, and a special session on coping with aggression when group housing male mice.
