Research Grants

The Alternatives Research & Development Foundation, a U.S. leader in the funding and promotion of alternatives to the use of laboratory animals in research, testing, and education, announces that it is currently soliciting research proposals to its 2006 Alternatives Research Grant Program. For over 15 years, this innovative program has created partnerships with scientists who have the expertise and interest in alternatives research discovery.

Up to $40,000 in funding is available to support individual projects, with preference given to U.S. universities and research institutions. At minimum, a total of $160,000 will be awarded. Guidelines, including a special “Tips” section, and Application form are now available online at: http://www.ardf-online.org. For reference, documents listing past funded research projects and detailed information on the 2005 grantees are also available online.

Deadline for applications is April 30, 2006, with recipients announced on July 15, 2006.
