Contact Dermatitis 2006: Blending Science with Best Practice

Conference Overview

This will be the fifth meeting of the Experimental Contact Dermatitis Research Group (ECDRG). Organizers include the Experimental Contact Dermatitis Research Group (ECDRG), the American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS), the National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) Allergic and Irritant Dermatitis Team and the University of Maryland Medical School.

The goal of this meeting is to discuss the basic and applied science of contact dermatitis. Scientific exchange is fostered among scientists and dermatologists from academia, government, and industry working in the field of contact dermatitis.

Call for Participation

Participate In The ECDRG Sessions

The first half of the meeting focuses on the basic and applied science of contact dermatitis. Those interested in participating during the upcoming meeting should submit a title by the submission deadline. An abstract is not needed. Presentations are normally 10 minutes with 5 minutes for discussion.

Participate in the ACDS Sessions

The second half of the meeting focuses on the clinical science of contact dermatitis. The abstract sessions will be held on Friday, September 29. Presentations times are normally 10-15 minutes (exact times will be determined by number of abstracts accepted). Those interested in presenting are encouraged to submit abstracts (200 words or less). Abstracts may be submitted online at the CDC website here.

Young Investigator Awards

Young Investigator Awards will be given for the best oral presentation by a resident, medical student, graduate students, post doctoral fellows (first 2 years) during the ACDS component of the meeting.

Deadlines

Titles and abstracts should be submitted by August 1, 2006 to receive full consideration from the scientific committee.
