ICCVAM Advisory Committee to Meet in September 

The Scientific Advisory Committee on Alternative Toxicological Methods (SACATM) will meet Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Topics to be discussed include the recent ICCVAM Public Forum, the NICEATM workshop on aquatic models and 21st century toxicology, ICCVAM international collaborations, and ICCVAM agency activities relevant to the replacement, reduction, and refinement of animal use in research and testing. SACATM advises ICCVAM, NICEATM, and the NIEHS director on NICEATM and ICCVAM activities.

The SACATM meeting is open to the public, and interested persons are invited to submit comments on agenda topics. Written public comments must be submitted by September 2; please register to attend in person and submit oral comments by September 9. Those planning to view the webcast must register by September 16. Information about the meeting and links to registration are available on the NTP website.
