CAAT Policy Program Director Paul Locke Discusses Regulatory Decision Making and Animal Testing

There's been progress in a decades-long campaign to stop chemical testing on animals, activists say, but there are some disturbing trends.

"Generally, what you're seeing is a mixed bag," said Paul Locke of the Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing. "On the research side, we have some very exciting developments and the science is moving forward rapidly. But taking that research from the lab into the decisionmaking room has been a little bit frustrating."
