Alternatives Research & Development Foundation Grants: 2012 Call for Proposals
The Alternatives Research & Development Foundation is currently soliciting research proposals for its 2012 Alternatives Research Grant Program, creating opportunities for innovative scientists who have interest and expertise in alternatives research. Applications will be evaluated on the basis of scientific merit and the potential to significantly reduce or replace laboratory animals. Preference is given to U.S. universities and research institutions, and proposals that address the goals of the National Academy of Sciences report, Toxicity Testing in the 21st Century: A Vision and A Strategy. Project term: one year. Maximum awarded per project: $40,000. The 2012 Guidelines and Application form is now available online. For reference, past funded research projects, including the 2011 grantees, are also available online. Applications must be postmarked by Monday, April 30, 2012.
