The School aims to give participants an appreciation of what they need to consider when designing an experiment and to provide them with the basic skills needed to plan and analyse their work in such a way as to minimise the number of animals needed and maximise quality and relevance of scientific output. The main participants will be postgraduate researchers but the School is also open to other interested individuals. The programme includes workshops and group exercises in which they can discuss their own research problems/experiences with the School’s expert tutors.
