Advanced Notice of Funding Opportunity

Reviews of Health Research that Identify Opportunities to Focus on Disease Pathways and Human Biology-Based Research Modalities

This is a funding opportunity soon to be offered to support the writing and publication of three reviews of health research. The in-depth reviews will critically evaluate the contributions and limitations of animal-based models of human diseases, and identify opportunities for progress in health research and drug discovery through the application of '21st-century' approaches. These include understanding disease pathways using the growing toolbox of human biology-based models and technologies. The reviews will be published in peer-reviewed journals.

Three grants will be available for application by credentialed scientists with current or recent research experience in a relevant disease area (more details, including timescales, are available here).

Any qualifying scientist who would like to apply is welcome to contact Gill Langley to ensure inclusion on the mailing list when the Request for Proposals is circulated in the autumn.

See PDF for full details.
